Ugg boots are right back on trend. A must-have fashion item of the Noughties, their popularity is rising again, with sales up by 30 percent this year. Searches for the brand have been growing considerably since last Autumn, causing a boost in sales and increased interest from a younger shopper.
Love them or loathe them, they are back, with many bargains out there to fill your boots. The brand manages to combine indoor slippers with outdoor shoes, making them great for a dash to the shops in your pyjamas. Designers have also endorsed Ugg and signalled them as an essential for any wardrobe savvy person.
Ugg boots are the epitome of laid back cool. By the mid 1980’s, they were a cult brand amongst the surfers of Southern California, who loved its effortless cool. This stylish and comfortable footwear has been transformed from a Seventies surfer staple to one of the most covetable items in any fashionistas wardrobe.
The classic boot is a great all-rounder for keeping toes cosy indoors and nipping out. If you’ve ever put your foot inside the plush lining, then you know they are an essential. But these cosy boot/slipper hybrids are notoriously expensive and the classic styles and colours almost never go on sale.

Despite the popularity of Ugg boots amongst women, when an Australian surfer, brought sheepskin boots to California in 1978, the classic design was intended for men. The years that followed saw the introduction of women’s and children’s ranges, using finer quality sheepskin than any other brand.
Everyone knows that the brand is well known for their classic sheepskin boots. However, their range also includes slides, flip flops, slip-on pumps and the ultimate cosy slipper. Beware of fakes though – there are many out there. You don’t want to fork out for a cheap, badly made pair.
